The Yeongdeungpo Union (known as The Alliance in the Korean raws version) is the antagonistic group of Weak Hero. They are a delinquent syndicate that are involved in multiple criminal activities involving their schools and the district of Yeongdeungpo. The Union is a coalition of five schools: Daehyeon, Ganghak, Hyeongshin, Yoosun, and Yeo-Il which is at the center. Donald Na founded the Union and has been leading it since his middle school days. Each school other than Yeo-Il has a leader that reports to Donald Na and does his bidding.

History

The foundation of the Union was originally a small gang created by Donald Na sometime after he had dropped out of fourth grade. The only other known founding member was Myles Joo, who served as Donald's right hand man. During this time, Donald took on commissions for small jobs but was also aware of the current limits and capabilities of his gang. Donald not only used his gang for the typical gang business, but he also used them for more personal matters such as copying info from Yeowon Elementary School's database to get dirt on Donald's abusive fourth grade teacher, beating up said teacher, and also hunting down and beating up Donald's abusive stepfather.

Yoosun High School

Not many specifics are known but Yoosun High School is led by Jimmy Bae. It is considered to be the lowest rank in the Union. Since Jimmy Bae’s loss to Eunjang High, Yoosun High School has been left to be managed by Daehyeon High School’s leader, Jake Ji. Jimmy Bae is still considered as somewhat the leader at Yoosun due to Jake allowing him to continue to do as he did before his loss.

Hyeongshin High School

Hyeongshin High School is led by Forrest Lee. It used to be led by Myles Joo but due to Myles making deals with Manwol and going against Donald, he was excommunicated from the Union. Since then Hyeongshin High School has lost some of its fighting power due to Myles’ departure. Since Forrest Lee’s loss to Eunjang High, Forrest Lee has lost much of his control over Hyeongshin High with Wolf Keum taking over as a “manager” of sorts, responsible for distributing any commission money made by the Union.

Ganghak High School

Ganghak High School is led by Wolf Keum. Not much is known about the specifics of this school, but students are shown to be fairly studious and competitive in the grades, unlike the other major Union schools encountered in the story so far.

Wolf Keum is considered to be a very strong and impulsive, ranking fifth in Shuttle Patch. Since Wolf Keum’s loss to Gray Yeon, Wolf Keum has been in trouble with Donald Na. Wolf no longer wanted to be chained to the Union and became excommunicated. Hwangmo Joo decided to still follow Wolf and was also excommunicated. The rest of Ganghak seemed to still be a part of the Union, as shown when Hayden and Beomsu were fighting for the Union's side during the Han River Fight.

After Donald's death, Kingsley re-recruited Wolf (and by extension, Hwangmo) back into the Union. Wolf accepts the money that Kingsley gives him, but it is unknown how much he'll listen to Kingsley.

Daehyeon High School

This high school is led by Jake Ji. Jake is one of the Union's top fighter, right behind Donald .

Naksung Fam reports directly to Donald and does the dirty work.

After Donald died, Jake leaves Yeongdeungpo and leaves Dean in charge of Daehyeon while he's gone.

Yeo-Il High School

This high school is led by Donald Na. Kingsley Kwan, Donald's right hand man, is part of the student council.

Dongha Baek and Seongmok Do, the Mokha Duo, attend this school too.

Businesses

Not much is known about the Union's businesses, but the Union is involved with transportation, event planning, uniforms, and shipping. Some of the companies involved with the Union include KHG Uniforms, Daegwang Industries, and Jeongil Logistics.

In Episode 46, Hyeongshin beats up students who are not wearing uniforms from the KHG company which increases the companies' number of sales.

In Episode 145, Jake had retrieved the bidding forms from every subcontractors that complained with their seals stamped. The bloodstains show that it was a violent job.

After Donald's Death

Prior to his death, Donald disbanded the Union. It was originally meant to be a temporary disbandment since he and Kingsley discussed restructuring and reorganizing things. It is unknown if Donald had still planned to continue the Union after his fight with Gray because right before his death, he was pleading him to stop him.

After Donald's death, Kingsley took over his role. He re-recruited Wolf (and by extension, Hwangmo) back into the Union. It is unknown how long the Union will last because Kingsley doesn't have Donald's brains or brawns.
