Timeline

The only exact date we know is October 24 is a Friday. In Episode 262, when Donald takes the mock exam in his first year of middle school, the year is 202X. The closest year where October 24 will be a Friday is the year 2025.

Therefore, the years in this timeline will be based on if the main story takes place in the year 2025.

South Korean School Year

The South Korean school year begins in March and ends in late January/February. When a character refers to "last year" in the story, it most likely refers to the previous school year, which includes the current year's January and February, rather than the previous calendar year. South Korean education system is six years in elementary school, three years in middle school, and three years in high school.

Winter is December to February. Spring is March to May. Summer is June to August. Fall is September to November.

2009 (16 Years Ago)

At the time of Weak Hero's publication, South Korea still used its own age system, meaning that the time in the womb counts a year towards their age, and a newborn baby is already considered a year old. The majority of the cast are high school freshmen who are seventeen years old in Korean age, meaning they were born sixteen years ago.

-Two days before the retest, Donald's mother, Sua Lee, dies. Donald's stepfather runs off with her life insurance money.

-On the day of the retest, Donald's shitty homeroom teacher tells him about his mother's death. Donald fails the test and rushes to the morgue.

-Not long later, Donald returns to school. After Seungjae Heo destroys the notes his mother had left him, Donald defeats his bullies and drops out of school.

2023 (2 Years Ago)

-Manwol is already established as the current ruling gang of Yeongdeungpo.

-Donald is the leader of a small gang with Myles Joo as his right hand man. His gang is already beginning to gain notoriety. It is unknown how long they've had the gang for.

2024 (1 Year Ago)

-Sometime in March, Ben and Alex are assigned to different classes in their final year of middle school.

• People have been calling Ben a bluff due to not being recruited by the Union.
• Alex gets upset at everyone calling Ben a bluff and constantly gets into fights, earning the nickname Pitbull.
• Alex starts hanging out with Sean Shin and his gang and begins to drift away from Ben.

-Jake Ji defeats Naksung Yoon and becomes the head of Daehyeon Middle School.

-Prior to summer or during early summer, Jeongmu Choi burns down Dorim Shopping Complex.

• Gerard fights two Manwol members that Jeongmu had lied to about Gerard being the right hand man of the Union.
• Gerard is nearly killed after running into Dorim Shopping Complex. Hyeonjin saves his life but his hands are severely injured and would take an entire year to recover.
• Slam is disbanded. Hyeonjin has Gerard promise to not use his hands in a fight for an entire year.
• Slam was preparing for summer band auditions prior to the fire.

-Sometime during the summer, Gray and Donald attend the 36th Olympiad. Stephen falls from the roof.

• Episode 6: I, Gray Yeon, on that late summer day in my final year of middle school, I swore to never lose again.
• There had to at least be five monthly exams by the time of the Olympiad. The first exam would be Gray scoring first place and Stephen not putting much effort so he ends up ranking in the lower middle. The second exam would be Stephen putting in effort to score first place. The third exam where Stephen didn't put much effort anymore, and Gray becomes first place again. The fourth exam where Stephen scores high again to beat Bryce. The fifth exam which took place a little bit before the day of the Olympiad, where Stephen scored perfectly and was first in the entire school.
• The International Math Olympiad is held around June or July, but the Olympiad Donald and Gray took was the 36th International Youth Olympiad (I am unsure if the IMO has a middle school division).
• Summer vacations in South Korea are typically from July to August, but the dates and duration of summer break may vary depending on the school.
• Gray doesn't attend class for the next two months after the Olympiad.
• Taking all these into account, it is possible that the Olympiad took place sometime during early July.

2025 (Current Year)

-Donald and Kingsley attempt to recruit Jake, but Jake refuses.

-Alex is in his emo phase and still hanging out with Sean Shin.

• Alex beats up some Gilshin students and anyone who talks shit about Ben.

-Manwol has begun to grow cautious of the Union and wants to recruit new faces.

• They hear of Jake's rise in power and tell Kenny to recruit him.
• Kenny refuses to drag Jake into the gang life and is brutally beaten and hospitalized. His leg is damaged to the point where he can never run again, shattering his dreams of becoming a professional soccer player.

-Jimmy Bae sends one of his goons to provoke Sean Shin's group in the construction site into attacking him so that he can claim that he didn't start the fight.

• Sean and his friends abandon Alex.
• Jimmy beats up Alex.
• Ben bumps into Sean and punches him until he tells him where Alex is.
• Ben arrives and fights Jimmy. Their fight is interrupted by Ben obviously had the upperhand and would've won in the end.

-Donald Na and the rest of the Union arrives.

• Ben fights Donald, but Donald overwhelmingly wins.
• Alex tries to stop the fight but Donald kicks him into a pile of wooden beams that have nails in them. Ben protects Alex but suffered a severe arm wound and was losing a lot of blood.
• Alex says he'll fight Donald instead of Ben.
• The fight is interrupted by Donald receiving a phone call from Kingsley about Jake arriving at Yeouinaru. Donald lets Ben and Alex go.

-Jake wants to destroy Manwol.

• Dean tries to go with him since he knows Jake would attempt to go alone.
• Jake ends up going to Donald Na for help instead.
• Donald agrees but changes up the order of events by making it seem like Jake was already a member of the Union when Kenny was attacked.

-Sometime in February, the Union defeats Manwol and becomes the ruling gang over Yeongdeungpo.

• Donald was mentioned to have taken over Yeongdeungpo when he was seventeen but before he entered high school.

-During the first week of March, the new school year starts.

• Colton Choi targets Gray Yeon; Gray beats him up
• That afternoon, Colton, Royce Na, and Eddie Moore try to attack Gray at the underpass, but Gray defeats them.
• Royce cries to his cousin, Phillip Kim, and Phillip lies to Jimmy Bae about Ben plotting to crush him in order to get Yoosun to attack Ben's Gang.

-Sometime near the start of the school year, Wolf Keum joins the Union and Myles Joo is excommunicated.

• In Episode 204, Yoosun, Hyeongshin, and Ganghak are already wearing their high school uniforms when Myles gets his ass kicked.
• After Yoosun's loss against Eunjang, Donald mentions that it hasn't been long since Myles had been excommunicated.
• Donald breaks Myles' femur, resulting in the latter needing crutches.

-Sometime near the start of the school year, the Mok-Ha Duo challenged Donald.

• They knocked out all the students in the student council room.
• Donald absolutely obliterates them.
• Kingsley notes that they lasted longer than he thought they would.

-Yoosun (except for Jimmy) waits at the underpass for Ben.

• Ben and Alex had ditched their last class and were already at the pool hall.
• Helmet picks a fight with Gray.
• Gerard, Ben, and Alex team up with Gray to defeat Yoosun.

-Evan Yoo picks a fight with Gray and gets his ass kicked.

-Jimmy beats up Alex at the pool hall.

• Alex is absent from school for a couple days in order to hide his wounds from Ben.

-Phillip has Teddy bully Gray.

• Gray doesn't immediately fight and studies his opponent for a few days.
• Gray eventually fights back against Teddy and wins.
• Teddy is kicked out of Phillip's group. and Chad abandons him.

-Yoosun raids Eunjang.

• Jimmy drags Gerard to the incinerator.
• A Eunjang student tells Ben and Alex about what happened and they rush to Gerard's aid.
• Phillip lures Gray to the incinerator with his backpack.
• Eugene tags along with Gray.
• Eunjang defeats Yoosun.

-At the end of March (Monday, March 31), Donald has a monthly conference with each school head.

• He is shown visiting Hyeongshin and orders Forrest to deal with Eunjang.

-In April, Hyeongshin starts beating up any Eunjang students they see.

-Eugene enrolls in Hero Cram School.

• He bumps into his childhood friend, Rowan Im, there. Rowan is also a student at Hero Cram School and is going to enroll into Eunjang soon.
• Rowan elbows Helmet in the face.

-Eugene and Teddy both come across a stray kitten. Teddy takes Co home.

-Hyeongshin launches their ambush on Eunjang when the main fighters are separated.

• Robin Ha's group goes against Ben at Daebang Underground Passage.
• Grape's group goes against Gray, Eugene, and Rowan at Noryangjin, near Hero Cram School.
• Forrest Lee's group goes after Alex (and, by Teddy's intervention, they also fight Teddy) in Yeongdeungpo Park after they dropped Co off at Singil Vet Clinic.
• Scorpion's group goes after Gerard Jin at a bridge.
• Gerard defeats his opponents and rushes over to Ben to inform him of the situation. Ben rushes over to Yeongdeungpo Park and Gerard rushes over to Noryangjin.
• Eunjang wins.

-The Union has an assembly.

• Ganghak begins managing Hyeongshin.
• Daehyeon begins managing Yoosun. Jake tells Jimmy to just continue doing as he currently does.

-Rowan enrolls into Eunjang.

-Wolf beats up Chad Won at the Bar.

• News of the fight spreads quickly
• Jungong_A on Inssagram suggested to Wolf to teach Ben a lesson. Wolf responded by saying to bring Ben to him and he'll kill him.

-Rowan bluffs about being the Sydney Guillotine.

• Phillip texts Donkey asking if there was a Sydney Guillotine at Noryangjin. Donkey denies it since Rowan had called himself Eunjang's Hyper Elbow.
• Phillip confronts Rowan. Rowan wants to elbow him in the face but Phillip grabs his throat before he could attack. Rowan recalls the posts about Phillip's notoriety and backs down.

-Gray defeats Phillip in the cafeteria.

-Jared hires two unnamed Ganghak guys to steal the bag of money and files from Beomsu and the other guy.

• The Ganghak guys wear Eunjang uniforms while covering their faces with helmets as they rise a motorcycle buy and snatch the bag.
• Jared gives them an answer key in return.
• He empties the money and files at his home and contacts Julia Chae.

-Ben and Gray talk alone. Gray opens up about his middle school trauma.

-Ben, Alex, and Gerard start turning the annex room into a hangout for their group since Gray doesn't do rooftops.

-Teddy reveals Phillip to be a fraud and becomes the new Number One of Class One.

-Some people use Gray's epithet as the White Mamba to intimidate other students.

• Several Eunjang students quit cram school.
• Gray's notoriety spreads.

-Beomsu and the other guy reports to Wolf about the bag being stolen. Hwangmo beats them up. Wolf beats them up. He tells them to bring the thieves to him or bring back the money they lost.

-Julia destroys Rowan's backpack. She lies and says it looks like the one that belongs to someone she hates. She gives Rowan the empty GOLD engraved bag and tells him to hold onto it. She gets Rowan's number and gives it to Jared Sun.

-Gray starts exercising with the resistance band.

-Jared forces Toby Kim to give him and his friends free food and alcohol. He reports Ttosikki Chicken for giving alcohol to minors.

-Beomsu and the other guy go to Noryanjin due to the rumors about the White Mamba. They take a photo of Rowan with the bag talking to Gray.

-Forrest and Robin go to Ganghak, with Grape waiting downstairs to avoid Wolf.

• They are confused when Wolf tells them that he's going to postpone the expenditure payment. Forrest reminds him that Donald said to manage the money, not take it for himself.
• Wolf tells him to wait since they're searching for them.
• Forrest threatens to tell Donald if it gets delayed any longer, angering Wolf. Wolf grabs him by his hair and reminds him that if it weren't for the no infighting rule, Forrest would be long gone.

-Beomsu and the other guy show the photo of Rowan with the bag to Wolf and bring him to Noryangjin.

• Gray makes eye contact with Wolf for more than three seconds, angering him.
• Wolf orders Beomsu and the other guy to bring the thief and the White Mamba to him tomorrow at seven on the rooftop of Pass Education.

-Eunjang VS Ganghak occurs.

• Jared lures Rowan (who brings along Eugene) to Pass Edu by pretending to be Julia texting him. The two are dragged to the rooftop.
• Wolf interrogates Rowan and demands to know where his money is. He beats Rowan and Eugene up for not giving him the answer he wants.
• Wolf sends Jared to bring the White Mamba. Jared lures Gray to the rooftop with a photo of his beaten up friends.
• Paralyzed by fear due to his trauma, Gray initially doesn't fight back as Wolf attacks him. When Wolf threatens to throw him off the roof, Gray snaps and defeats Wolf.
• Ben arrives after overhearing about what had happened from Toby. Just as Gray passes out, he hallucinates that Stephen is rushing towards him, not Ben. Ben carries him to the hospital.
• Gray rises to Rank 8.

-Wolf finds out Jared was the thief all along.

• Jared mentions that the Union has lots to do with shipping, and Wolf asks how he knew the additional companies were shipping companies when all of that information was in a sealed envelope in the locked bag
• Wolf beats up Jared and demands him to return all of the money. Jared is short but promises to get the rest.
• Toby publicly exposes Jared on the school homepage, sharing how he got Toby's father's restaurant suspended and accusing him of academic misconduct.
• Jared confronts Toby, but Toby beats him up.
• Jared is expelled. His uncle is sentenced to two years in prison.

-After retrieving all of the money and files, Wolf tells Hwangmo that he's done. He wants to stop doing Union shit for a bit because he is sick and tired of Donald and all that bullcrap.

• Donald sneaks up behind Wolf and asks if that's how he really feels. Wolf angrily tells him that he’s had enough and he’s sick of Donald and Jared driving people mad with sneaky little tricks. He’s tired of being forced to play along with all the Union’s bullshit and to quit using him for his dirty works.
• Donald laughs and says if he wants to do everything his way and if he thinks he’s capable of keeping the organization going, to go ahead and take him down. If Wolf can’t bring himself to challenge him, then he should act like the fucking dog he is.
• Wolf attempts to attack Donald, but Donald easily defeats him. Kingsley stops him before Donald could go too far.
• Donald leaves the bag with Wolf and tells him that once he’s done thinking, to come to his office in Yeouinaru because he has a job for him

-At Eunjang, Teddy mentions to Rowan that he hasn't seen Sprite lately.

• He finds out that Sir Lee, President Park, and Professor Kim have tied up Sprite and were throwing rocks at them.
• Teddy beats them up and rescues Sprite.

-Ben's doctor tells him that he’s all good to go and that his arm recovered pretty fast. He visits Gray while at the hospital.

-Julia is hunted down by Ganghak on Wolf's orders.

• She sees Rowan passing by and Rowan recognizes her. Rowan pretends not to know her and continues walking, saying she isn’t worth his time.
• Julia wonders what the hell she’s doing and that she’s become exactly like the people she’s always despised.

-Gerard, Eugene, and Rowan visit Gray at the hospital.

• Alex joins them not long later.
• As they leave, they are approached by Sean Shin.
• Sean ridicules Alex at first for hanging around losers, but then assumes that Alex is only with them for personal gain.
• Alex punches Sean in the face and dismisses him by saying, "I don't recall us being close enough to say hi to each other."

-At Yoosun, Minjae tries to ask Jack on a double date. Jack refuses.

• Jack tells him to bring Hayden instead, but Minjae hates Hayden.
• Minjae tells Jack that Julia Chae from the group date last year is being hunted down by Wolf for stealing his money. Jack thinks she doesn't seem like the type to do that.

-At Eunjang, Gray goes to the rooftop and is no longer afraid. He thinks that it's strange that he feels much better now. He has an unexplainable yearning that can't be put into words. Gray has a new bag and keeps a mattress pin attached to it.

-Donald calls Jake in for a meeting.

• Jake mentions Kenny's reoperation went well.
• Donald orders Jake to take down Ben.
• Without mentioning it to Jake, the backup plan is Naksung Fam to take down Ben.

-Donald calls Wolf and Jimmy in for a meeting.

• He calls Jimmy in first. Jimmy brings Jack with him.
• He calls Wolf in next. Wolf brings Hwangmo with him. Hayden is annoyed that Hwangmo is treated better than him.
• After the meetings, Ganghak bumps into Yoosun in the parking lot. Jimmy provokes Wolf into a fight. Jimmy ends the fight prematurely after realizing he would lose if he strikes Wolf again.
• Kingsley, who had been watching from the stairwell, reports the result to Donald.

-On a Friday afternoon, Gray, Ben, Alex, and Gerard plan to use Ben's coupon for a free chicken.

• Gray bumps into Helmet at Y Study Hall and intimidates him into getting the losers out of his way.
• They confront Timothy, who was stalking them. This leads to a brief clash against Dean and Jake.

-Jake goes to Gerard's work place and beats him up.

• He almost goes too far but his subconscious manages to stop him in time.
• He wants Ben Park to take him seriously.

-The day after Jake defeated Gerard, Gray defeats Hayden.

-On a Friday, Daehyeon attacks Eunjang.

• Eunchan tells Grape that the party to celebrate the end of his suspension is on Friday at 6:00 PM at Cafe Gamma, located near the back gate of Daehyeon.
• Dean noticed that Jake hasn't arrived and when he contacts him, he realizes Jake is heading to Eunjang. He, Timmy, Eunchan, and Grape head to Eunjang.
• Teddy bumps into Naksung Fam, momentarily clashes with them, and then realizes they're heading to fight Ben. He goes to Hero Cram School and informs Gray, Eugene, and Rowan. The four head to Eunjang.
• Gray's group bumps into Dean's group and they fight. Rowan fights Eunchan and wins. Gray fights Dean and wins. Eugene holds back Timmy from interfering with the other fights. Teddy fights Grape but their fight is unfinished.
• Jake arrives to Eunjang and demands to fight Ben. He threatens Naksung Fam into staying out of it. Jake wins.
• Naksung Fam fights Ben Park's Gang. Eunjang wins and Daehyeon leaves.

-The order of the top three fighters in the Shuttle Patch Rankings shifts.

• Ben rises to Rank 2.
• Jake falls to Rank 3.
• Myles is Rank 4.
• Jimmy is Rank 6.

-Wolf is hunting Julia down with the two guys who had lost the bag many chapters ago.

• He sees Julia walking down the street and Lily chasing after her and wanting to talk to her.
• Wolf sends the two Ganghak students after her.
• In the end, Wolf lets Julia go.

-Jimmy remembers accepting Myles’ offer.

• He tells Jack that he can stay out of it, but Jack says he’s going with him.
• Jimmy says he could be fucked if things go wrong, but Jack points out how they’re already screwed. The worst case scenario is that they die.

-Donald notices that the question he had submitted was solved by G*** Yeon from Eunjang High School.

• Kingsley calls to inform him that Gray is the only student with the last name Yeon in Eunjang, and that he’s the White Mamba.
• Kingsley asks what they should do about the Mok-Ha Duo, and if they should change the plan, but Donald says no.

-Alex starts training at Singil Gym.

-Hyeongshin is on their way to deliver money and files to Ganghak.

• Myles and Manwol ambush them. at Sinjeong Bridge.
• Hwangmo says Ganghak shouldn't get involved since it was Myles who attacked first, and Forrest will have to report the situation to Donald anyway, and Wolf agrees.

-Donald sends the Mok-Ha Duo to retrieve the money and files.

• They succeed in defeating them at Dorim Shopping Complex.
• Dongha re-broke Myles' thigh because Kingsley told them about his weakness.
• Jimmy and Jack, who had planned to join Myles, witnessed Mok-Ha defeating Myles and Manwol.
• The Mok-Ha Duo's rank skyrocketed after beating Myles.

-Ben Park's Gang gathers at Ttosikki Chicken.

• Teddy is surprised that there are so many people there.
• Rowan reveals the reason the food is on the house today is because Rowan and Ben had filmed a MeTube video promoting Ttosikki Chicken.
• Eugene thinks if they had better lighting, more people could be seated outside. He thinks the NORYANGJIN sign should be brighter to solve the problem. Gray and Eugene discuss how to improve the lighting. Rowan says the science and invention competition is perfect for Eugene.

-At the Han River, a Union assembly is held.

• Jake is the only member not in attendance.
• Donald says that he has never once turned down a challenge his entire life and has always given everyone a fair chance. The reason he didn't take any action against Manwol is because he didn't consider them a threat. The real pain in the neck isn't Manwol, but Eunjang. He says he still can't allow Manwol to start gaining power and mentions that it may be uncomfortable due to Myles being involved, since he used to be a member of the Union.
• Donald drops a big envelope near Scorpion and when Scorpion goes to pick it up, Donald kicks him in the face. Many photos of Scorpion interacting with Myles fly out of the envelope. Donald reveals Scorpion to be the traitor who tipped Myles off that Forrest would be passing through Sinjeong Bridge and calls Forrest too complacent and careless.
• Donald announces the Mok-Ha Duo as executives after they have proven themselves by defeating Myles and Manwol without any help.
• After the assembly ends, Dongha tries to provoke Wolf into a fight, but Donald tells him to knock it off

-Sometime during the summer, Wesley, furious at Gray for having humiliated him at Hero Cram School, takes a photo of his friend with brown hair, photoshops it, and sends it to Gray.

• He sends Gray on a wild goose chase by claiming Stephen works at a market stall in Busan.
• Everyone has a trigger point that incapacitates them from making rational judgments. Gray's trigger point is Stephen, and he believes the texts
• Ben accompanies Gray to Busan.

-Donald tells Wolf that Jake will be in charge of Daegwang instead of Ganghak now.

-Sometime during the summer, Alex & Gerard VS Mok-Ha Duo

• The observers mistook Gerard for Ben.
• Mok-Ha goes to Dorim Shopping Complex to fight them.
• Gerard struggles against Seongmok but after recalling that it's been an entire year since his promise to Hyunjin, he starts fighting with his fists again and overpowers Seongmok.
• Dongha badly injures Alex's shoulder. Gerard arrives and after realizing Seongmok had been knocked out, Dongha flees with Seongmok; it is Eunjang's victory.

Trivia

• Years in Weak Hero are typically censored and labelled as 20XX.
• In Episode 206, in Chad's text conversation with Phillip, it is revealed that the year is 2022. However, this is impossible due to October 24, 2022 being a Monday, not a Friday. It is likely that 2022 was originally a placeholder and the typist forgot to replace it with the usual 20XX.
• 2025 is the Year of the Snake, which is befitting for the main character, the White Mamba.
