Hwangmo Ju is a student at Ganghak High School and Wolf's right hand man.
Appearance[]
Hwangmo has orange hair and black eyes with small irises. In his debut appearance, his hair is slicked back with a slightly curled bang hanging in front of his face. He wore a white polo shirt and Ganghak's signature red blazer.
In subsequent appearances, he is shown to have gotten a haircut. His hair is a mullet with the sides shaved and his bangs choppy. He no longer wears Ganghak's red blazer.
Personality[]
Hwangmo is a delinquent. He attacks people without provocation, as shown when he punched the buzzcut member of Naksung Fam. He is also unforgiving when it comes to Union business, as shown when he and Hayden beat up Eugene and Rowan before dragging them to the rooftop.
Hwangmo finds dealing with Wolf to be extremely exhausting. Nonetheless, he is also extremely loyal to Wolf to the point where he still follows Wolf after Wolf's excommunication.
Plot[]
As the second-in-command of Ganghak, Hwangmo is often seen standing beside Wolf. During the Ganghak Arc, he beats up the guys who lost the bag with the money and files. He and Hayden both beat up Rowan and Eugene when they see them walking by while holding the bag. He then drags them up to the rooftop of Pass Edu. When Hayden tells Rowan and Eugene that if they answer his questions, they won’t beat them up just like the trio, Hwangmo interrupts and says since Rowan and Eugene are thieves, they need to teach them a lesson. He is undisturbed by the brutal beating Wolf gives the two.
When Gray snaps and begins fighting back against Wolf and has the upperhand, Jared orders Hwangmo to do something. Hwangmo attempts to charge at Gray but Gray throws a chair at him. Eugene then holds onto Hwangmo's leg tightly to prevent him from intervening, despite Hwangmo repeatedly punching him. Later, when Ben arrives, Ben punches Hwangmo. After Wolf regains conscious, Hwangmo and the others stand around him with concern. Hwangmo asks Wolf if he's okay, but Wolf ignores him and orders everyone to leave.
Hwangmo is on the phone with Wolf when Wolf tells him to deal with the Union shit himself and that Wolf wants a break. When Donald jump scares Wolf, the latter hangs up on the phone call. Later, Hwangmo goes with Wolf to Yeouinaru Office Building where Donald gives Wolf an envelope of students to replace Jared. Wolf orders Hwangmo to bring them to the student council room one by one. When they reach the parking lot, Wolf witnesses the brief fight between Wolf and Jimmy.
Hwangmo attends the Union assembly with the rest of Ganghak. He witnesses Dongha attempting to provoke Wolf but Donald steps in. Hwangmo thinks that it is the calm before the storm. He is later shown on Ganghak's rooftop with Hayden. Hayden mentions that it looked like Naksung Fam had a grudge against Hwangmo, and the latter informs him about his first meeting with Naksung Fam where he punched the buzzcut guy. Hwangmo informs Wolf about the Mok-Ha Duo gets their asses kicked by Gerard and Alex. He is worried because Daegwang was reassigned to Jake, and Hwangmo knows that Wolf hates losing his things whether good or bad.
Wolf orders Hwangmo to have Naksung Fam report to him about Jake's movements. Hwangmo accepts but is worried since he knows that Naksung Fam still holds the grudge against him. He manages to get the bucket hat guy's phone number from Hayden and is told to meet them at Omega on Friday night. By the time Hwangmo arrives, Naksung is already drunk. Hwangmo also gets drunk and bonds with him over their shared hatred of Ben Park. Naksung agrees to tell Hwangmo about Jake's movements. Some days later, Hwangmo, Hayden, and Wolf had finished collecting money from KHG when Hwangmo receives a text from Naksung notifying him of Jake claiming to be going to get some coffee. Hwangmo relays this information to Wolf, and Hayden is surprised that Hwangmo succeeded in his mission. Hwangmo and Hayden begin to follow Wolf to tag along to go to Jake, but Wolf tells them to not walk around with the bag and to take some money to treat themselves.
Hwangmo meets up with Jack and hands him the files. The two bond over having to work under people like Jimmy and Wolf. Hwangmo receives a call from Donald demanding to talk to Wolf, but Hwangmo can't get into contact with him but tells Donald that he'll try to find Wolf. Hwangmo informs Jack that after what happened with Jared, Wolf wanted out and it's impossible to control him. He waves goodbye to Jack as the latter leaves. Later on, after Wolf decides to quit the Union and defeats Gijoo in a rematch, it is shown that Hwangmo has tried to call him numerous times only to be ignored.
Hwangmo, Beomsu, and the third Ganghak guy have tried searching for Wolf in all the places he usually hangs out, but it was to no avail. Hwangmo is annoyed that Hayden isn't answering his calls and is just lazing around. They enter the student council room and see Wolf there. Wolf says to forget about the fact Donald’s been trying to contact him and to follow him for their last supper. They eat and drink a lot at the bar before splitting up the remaining money among their group.
After Hayden snitches Wolf's betrayal to Donald, Hwangmo berates him over the phone. Hayden angrily reminds him of how Wolf is always looking down on him, and tells Hwangmo to make up his mind about his allegiance and hangs up. Hwangmo informs Wolf that he’s been excommunicated and that the Mok-Ha Duo are being sent after him. Wolf laughs because he isn’t coming after him himself. Hwangmo wonders what the hell he is going to do.
Hwangmo follows Wolf to the alley where Wolf and Gray are fighting against the Mok-Ha Duo. Wolf, however, intends to defeat the duo by himself, and orders Hwangmo to get the White Mamba out of there. Hwangmo hesitates but does so and manages to carry Gray a couple streets away until Gray beats him up and forces him to let go. After the Mok-Ha Duo and Hyeongshin are defeated, Hwangmo and Wolf look at the aftermath of Ben's rampage against all of Hyeongshin.
Hwangmo later attends the Rebellion meeting as Wolf's plus one. After Wolf states his intentions to fight Jake, Hwangmo leaves with him. Before D-Day arrives, the two are shown outside with Wolf sitting on a grassy slope and Hwangmo standing nearby. He and Wolf arrive to the battlefield later than everyone else. Once the battle begins, Hwangmo is shown attacking Timmy and then gets kicked by Dean. Dean acts like he's above Hwangmo and calls him a street punk. Hwangmo knows that Dean is several levels above him. Dean blocks a punch and kicks Hwangmo in the chest. Dean jumps and spins, kicking Hwangmo in the face. He punches Hwangmo and he staggers a few steps back. Hwangmo refuses to back down because if it were Wolf, he'd just absorb the punches and move forward. He decides to move forward too and charge in with brute force just like Wolf. Their fight remains unfinished due to Ben and Gray's arrival.
At Donald's funeral, Wolf and Hwangmo are wearing suits and watching the funeral hall from afar. Hwangmo asks if they’re really not going to go in, but Wolf says it’s fine to just look from a distance. In the final episode, Hwangmo is shown still working alongside Wolf while Hayden is treated as a bread shuttle.

Wolf Keum[]
Hwangmo knows better than to question Wolf's orders, even if Wolf assigns him a seemingly difficult job. He fears being punished for being unable to accomplish a task. However, Hwangmo also deeply respects Wolf. After Wolf is excommunicated, rather than staying with the Union like the other Ganghak students, Hwangmo chooses to continue following Wolf.
Hayden Ma[]
Hwangmo and Hayden both worked under Wolf and were on decent terms with each other. However, Hayden was often annoyed by how Wolf treated them differently; Wolf always brought Hwangmo along with him and left Hayden behind. After Hayden was fed up with Wolf, he reported him to Donald, but he also gave a heads up to Hwangmo and advised him to choose which side he wanted to be on. After Wolf rejoined the Union, Hayden is shown to have been reduced to a bread shuttle, most likely also shuttling for Hwangmo.
Naksung Fam[]
Their first interaction was a negative one as Hwangmo ended up punching Buzzcut in the face. During the Union assembly in Episode 134, Naksung and his fam still held a grudge. Bucket Hat is the most civil amongst them and when Hwangmo is ordered by Wolf to have Naksung tell him about Jake's whereabouts, Bucket Hat told Hwangmo to come on a Friday night at the Omega so that Naksung will be drunk and friendlier. Hwangmo and Naksung drank together and bonded over their hatred of Ben Park, and Naksung agreed to Hwangmo's request. Even after sobering up, Naksung kept his promise. Buzzcut still doesn't like Hwangmo. It is unknown how the other members feel about him.
