Chapter 9 is the ninth chapter of the first season of Weak Hero.

Synopsis[]

The student who called out Helmet's name gets up from his seat and begins to walk to the front of the class. Helmet's bravado vanishes as soon as he realizes the student is Gray Yeon, and the class watches in bewilderment as the diminutive Gray stares down the massive Helmet, oblivious to the warning the former is giving with the mere click of his pen. Hugo, who has direct experience with Helmet's temper and aggression, is alarmed to see Helmet trembling and silent. To Helmet's relief, Gray walks out of the classroom without an incident.

The next day, Class Five is peaceful, much to the relief of Eugene. He notices that Gray is sleeping, and closes the drapes to help him rest better. Once Gray awakens, he sees Eugene struggling to read in the dim room and says it's okay to open the curtains. Unbeknownst to Eugene, this simple gesture brings back memories of a boy from Gray's past. He awkwardly talks with Gray about how they are both on duty next week.

Phillip Kim is receiving pressure from his cousin Royce to deal with Gray. Phillip is stumped on how to move forward, especially since Ben is involved with Gray. He initially decides to wait until Jimmy Bae deals with Ben before making his next move: however, seeing Gray walking down the hallway, Phillip furiously remembers how Gray ignored him.
