Chapter 88

Chapter 88 is the eighty eighth chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 28th chapter of Season 2.

Synopsis[]

Wolf has realized that Jared stole the bag. He proceeds to beat him bloody and warns him he will do whatever is necessary to retrieve what was taken. Unfortunately for Jared, his fall from grace has just begun.

The next day, Toby Kim publicly exposes Jared on the school homepage, sharing how he got Toby's father's restaurant suspended and accusing him of academic misconduct. Many students are quick to note the disconnect between Jared's stellar test grades and abysmal class performance, especially in regards to the recent exam; in particular, Jared was one of only three students to correctly answer a specific question on the last exam, which was later found to be a mistake from the teacher.

Jared is furious and attempts to domineer Toby. However, Toby stands his ground, declaring that with his father suffering because of Jared, he has nothing left to lose. He starts to give Jared another beating. When two of Wolf's underlings pass by, they scoff at Jared's plea for help, and warn him to have the stolen files and money before walking away, leaving him to his fate.

The narration summarizes Jared Sun as a weak boy who could do nothing but leech off those more powerful than him. His reputation is destroyed beyond repair, and his uncle is sentenced to two years in prison for leaking test answers.
