Chapter 56

Chapter 56 is the fifty sixth chapter of Weak Hero.

Synopsis[]

Ben runs toward Singil while Gerard sprints to Noryangjin.

Rowan struggles against Hyeongshin now that his attack pattern is blown. Grape orders the other students to attack Gray too. Gray throws a trash bag at an incoming thug and uses his belt against another. He throws a trash bag over one of their heads and kicks them.

Eugene tries holding one of the thugs back but gets hit. Rowan elbows the thug and can't get a solid hit on a moving target. Grape punches Rowan and Eugene tries to hit him but Grape just punches him too. Grape orders everyone to wrap things up.

Gray knees the face of the guy trapped in a trash bag. Donkey calls him a cheap pussy but Gray points out how an entire mob was sent to just take him down. He says that Hyeongshin is scared of him. Gray thinks with three opponents, he can pull off a surprise attack and after the shock phase he could a one on one, that hinges on the success of the initial strike and follow up attack. In his current condition he doesn't have a workable offense for what comes after. If he has one more real threat on his side, it could increase his chances. While going three against one, Donkey manages to land a hit on Gray's face.

Hyeongshin says that the three are done for. Gerard arrives and says that it's Hyeongshin's show that's ending. In that moment, Gray remembers, without realizing the word he's hidden in his heart, after his middle school days: friend.
