Chapter 40

Chapter 40 is the fortieth chapter of Weak Hero.

Synopsis[]

Forrest asks how Donald intends to take care of the Jimmy Bae incident. He says he'll call you a Union assembly first to teach Jimmy a lesson. Donald mentions if it were Myles, he'd have immediately taken action of his own. He tells Forrest of the skepticism that exists internally and that even established members need to be tested. He says that Myles was so action oriented that it was hard to calm him down and says Forrest is too careful. He said that it would look pathetic for the Union if they were all to flock around Eunjang just for Yoosun's loss when Hyeongshin is so close to Eunjang. He tells Forrest to get it done on his own level.

Forrest knows that since Jimmy lost it won't be easy. He thinks it is much more cumbersome than the days he had it easy just standing behind Myles but as long as he can overcome that he'll profit way more than he did before. He recalls how Myles was passive when it came to Eunjang.

Flashback shows Forrest asking why Myles doesn't crush Eunjang. Myles asked who would benefit from it and mentioned that it would be tricky to bring Eunjang into the Union with Ben Park there. If he were to defeat Eunjang, it benefit Phillip Kim. Myles hates Phillip and thinks he's a weakling and a poser without his money, although he thinks Phillip meshes oddly well with Donald. Forrest disagrees with Myles and thinks things would be much easier if he demanded money upfront like Jimmy.

The flashback ends and in the present day, Forrest thinks that they can't move recklessly like Myles or they'll get fucked over. He tells his minions that starting today they are to beat up any Eunjang students they see and steal their money. Forrest receives a call from Phillip. Forrest wants to make sure Phillip's guys don't get attacked while Hyeongshin is crushing Eunjang students so Phillip sends a photo of his group.

At the pool hall, Gray had left earlier to go to cram school. Eugene see that Gray had left his phone behind and leaves to go to return it. On the way to Hero Cram School, Eugene is jumped by Hyeongshin students. Someone arrives to help Eugene.
