Chapter 39

Chapter 39 is the thirty ninth chapter of Weak Hero.

Synopsis[]

Gray surprises Ben with how skilled he is at pool even though it is his first time playing. Alex and Gerard return and Ben notices their expressions. Alex informs them that across the intersection was Donald Na. Ben mentions that Donald is the head of the Union and thinks it might be because of the Jimmy Bae incident. Alex says if that was the case, then Donald would've gone straight to them instead of dragging things out or give anyone the time to act. Ben agrees and thinks that Donald would never mobilize the entire Union just to crush Eunjang. He asks Eugene for his thoughts.

Eugene says that he heard that at the end of each month, Donald goes to each school for an accounting conference. The school closest to Eunjang be Hyeongshin. Ben asked if it's Myles but Eugene reminds him that Myles was excommunicated. They wonder after Myles kicked out, who is the new head of Hyeongshin.

At Hyeongshin High School, Forrest Lee enters the student council room where Donald Na is waiting. Donald asks Forrest if he has adapted well, and Forrest says he has been maintaining and managing Hyeongshin while Myles was only the figurehead. Donald thinks that Forrest is not as competent as Myles and that Forrest lacks a presence, but it makes him perfect to keep under his control. Forrest asks if the shit about Jimmy losing to Eunjang is true and Donald confirms it is. Donald says it is time to sharpen things up once more. Forrest is terrified just talking to Donald.

Since Donald stepped foot into the streets of Yeongdeungpo in middle school, it was nothing short of a revolution. His notoriety rose at a jarring rate and with his charisma, leadership, image, performance, and the ability to get things done, he unified the neighboring middle schools. The thing that stood out the most was his mind for business despite his age. With is overwhelming charisma and cleverness, he stimulated and satisfied the most basic of human needs. Like an adult manipulating a child to his will, he controlled everything perfectly. He was ruthless and unstoppable in his actions and planning.

Manwol didn't take the Union seriously. Donald graduated from middle school and took over Yeongdeungpo before high school even started. Donald Na's Union destroyed Manwol. He was overwhelming in everything and took over Yeongdeungpo at seventeen years old.
