Chapter 38

Chapter 38 is the thirty eighth chapter of Weak Hero.

Synopsis[]

Ben goes to Class Five and invites Eugene and Gray to go to the pool hall after school. He expects greater decline but is surprised when Gray accepts. Eugene is flustered that he's becoming a part of Ben's gang. Ben returns to Class Eight and tells Alex and Gerard that Gray and Eugene are going to hang out with them. Alex is surprised that gray accepted the invitation. Alex notices Ben and Gerard drinking banana milk and wonders where his own banana milk went. Ben had given Alex's banana milk to Gray.

Eugene notices that Gray has changed a little since the fight against Yoosun. He thinks Gray has begun to open up just a little bit. Gray recalls Mrs. Lee telling him to not forget that there are people around him who care and worry about him.

Phillip Kim is sitting on the rooftop. He didn't expect Jimmy to lose against Ben I think it's only a matter of time until Donald Na hears about Yoosun's defeat. What is important to Phillip is a cause for the Union to crush Ben. There is no way the Union will turn a blind eye, but the whole Union won't be mobilize against Eunjang. Phillip's original plan was for Eunjang with Hyeongshin High School, but because Myles Joo was a stuck up motherfucker Phillip had no choice but to contact Jimmy Bae if Yoosun. Phillip thinks that since Myles was excommunicated, the answer is already there for him. He decides to see how things will pan out because Donald Na's rule is absolute.

Ben, Alex, Gerard, Gray, and Eugene go to the pool hall after school to play four-ball. Ben and Alex argue over what to order to eat so they ask Gray. Gray wants to eat tteokbokki because he had enough Chinese food when he hung out with Stephen. Ben orders Alex and Gerard to go out and buy it since it doesn't deliver while Ben stays back to teach Gray and Eugene how to play play pool even though he is the worst player out of the three of them.

Alex and Gerard are on their way back to the pool hall. Alex asks Gerard if he's seriously not going to get a haircut and Gerard refuses even after Alex offers a coupon. Alex suddenly tenses up and goes silent; he tells Gerard to keep his eyes straight ahead. Once they go around the corner, Alex tells Gerard that the people across the street are the Union, including their leader, Donald Na.
