Chapter 185

Chapter 185 is the one hundred eighty fifth chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 58th chapter of the third season.

Synopsis[]

Donald is on the phone with Chungil Lee. He says that Daegwang has started work on the shopping district and they’ll be moving the storage unit tomorrow morning. Chungil says they’ll continue their conversation at Yeouido in two days. The call ends.

Kingsley texts Donald that he’s worried about giving all the shopping district and Daegwang work to Dongha. Donald tells him that those who lack something work harder and to focus more on what they’re gaining.

A flashback shows a young Dongha being bullied. He is too poor to afford the real name brand clothing and wears cheap knock-offs. Dongha beats up his bullies. The flashback ends. Dongha tells Phillip to go and buy him some cigarettes. Phillip asks him what he takes him for. Dongha grabs him by the hair and calls him a little pussy.

Dongha starts hitting Phillip and Phillip tries to fight back, but fails miserably. He slams Phillip’s head to the ground. Phillip is humiliated and on the verge of tears, and his humiliation is made even worse by Donald looking down at him in disdain. Donald tells Dongha to stop wasting his time and to go up to his office. The three head inside and leave Phillip on the ground.

Phillip has seen how Donald’s cold look in his eyes was completely devoid of emotion or empathy. It’s like he thinks of Phillip as a piece of gum to spit out now that he has no use for him. Phillip has nothing left, and has lost them all a long time ago. He wonders why he has been trying so hard.

The next morning, the construction crew are loudly bringing the materials into the building next to Singil Vet. Dr. Kim tries to file a complaint, but everything is being done legally. She is sent around in circles between all of the departments. The animals at the vet are terrified by the construction.

At Eunjang, Gerard is thinking about buying a guitar. A flashback shows that one of Gerard’s classmates who graduated Do-Eui Middle School is the leader of the Festival Prep Committee and had asked if Gerard can sing for the festival since he was great at singing with Slam. The flashback ends. Gerard needs to save up more to afford the guitar and thinks about looking for part-time work, recalling Toby having told him about a job offer.

Eugene is on the way to his aunt’s vet and manages to hide just in time from the Mok-Ha Duo.
