Synopsis[]

Dr. Kim sees in the newspaper that the property value has increased by 1.5 times the original price. Granny tearfully hugs her and is glad she didn’t sell her store. If Dr. Kim hadn’t warned her not to sell, she would’ve sold her store for pennies. Dr. Kim thinks people are rarely interested in what happens to others, and wonders how Gray has that kind of insight. She understands why Eugene looks at him with trusting eyes.

Gray denies ever planning to play billiards with Minsu. Colton has his friend drag Minsu to the rooftop for a beating. Eugene wonders what happened and why Gray lied.

After school, Eugene receives a call from his aunt saying that a new development project was just announced, and the commercial area falls within its borders which means the property value has increased. She says to thank Gray and that she’ll treat them to some food some time. The call ends and Eugene informs Gray that he was right.

Eugene wonders why everything is going so smoothly because he isn’t used to it. He couldn’t have imagined any of this happening a year ago. He realizes that it’s all because he became deskmates with Gray, and all of it feels like a dream. Gray returns Eugene's math textbook to him after having retrieved it from Bruce Lee.

Eugene begins crying and thanks Gray for everything. He says if he hadn’t been Gray’s deskmate, he would’ve still been a loser getting picked on by the other kids. He thanks Gray for being his friend. Gray smiles and remembers how Eugene was the first to reach out to him by giving him supplies to erase the marker stain on his uniform, tackling the Yoosun student who attempted to hit Gray from behind with a metal beam, enduring Donkey’s beating even though he could’ve revealed that Gray was the White Mamba, restrained Timothy Park during the fight against Daehyeon, and how Eugene tried to fight back on the rooftop against Ganghak.

Gray tells Eugene that he’s really easy to read and that he’s a good guy. They continue heading home and Gray tells Eugene that he isn’t helping him for free. He says if Eugene wins the prize money, he’s gonna have to treat Gray to a large plate of sweet and sour pork. He has Eugene promise that from now on, he’ll tell him if he ever needs help, and Eugene agrees. Gray mentions that Teddy felt kind of left out and that teaching those kinds of punks a lesson is his specialty.

The next day, Rowan tells Teddy to not make any other plans on Saturday because the gang needs to hang out together more. Teddy asks if it’s okay for him to join and Rowan says they need an even number of people. Rowan leaves to go to the bathroom, and Teddy thinks that the group already has an even number of people. Unknown to him, one of Ben and Alex’s classmates, Class Eight Guy, is joining them.

Teddy spots Minsu in the hallway and engages Demon Mode. He staples Minsu’s uniform to his pants just like how Minsu bullied Eugene. Minsu knows he can’t take on Teddy and wants to just avoid him. Teddy threatens that if Minsu steps out of line again, he’ll wreck him. Minsu fearfully walks away.

Phillip Kim and his goons pass Teddy in the hallway. Phillip receives a notification that Kingsley had deposited money into Phillip’s account as payment for the info he had provided. Phillip doesn’t think he was paid enough.
