Chapter 180

Chapter 180 is the one hundred eightieth chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 53rd chapter of the third season.

Synopsis[]

Dr. Kim tells Gray and Eugene that she decided to finally sell, so she looked at the going rates around the area, but they’re ridiculously low even compared to a few days ago. Gray says it’s because they’ve rigged the listing already and are trying to buy the remaining stores for dirt cheap by putting up fake listings in the area. He says it’s a known real estate scam and tells her to not sell.

Dr. Kim believes Gray’s explanation, and she asks him how he knows so much about them. Gray says something similar happened last year. Not only did they get illegal insider information, but they used the same scam on the elderly to collect astronomical profits.

A flashback shows City Representative Oscar Yang being accused of using insider info, which he did use. He asks his assistant if he dealt with Oswald and his assistant replies that there won't be any more trouble from Byuksan Middle School. The assistant says that the local residents and organizations are up in arms about the development project, and that it isn't going to blow over easily. Oscar Yang points out he bought the borderline areas outside of audit jurisdiction and bought everything under aliases. He says after two months, people will forget about it.

Stephen tells Gray that all people do things for a profit and claims that he’s probably the most important person to himself. He thinks that people should never cheat and exploit people for their own gain, and the fruits of one’s labor must always be respected. The flashback ends.

At Eunjang, Eugene thinks that it’s been a while since the gang got together because everyone is in different classes. He asks Minsu for his textbook back, and Minsu tells him to go get it back from Class Nine himself. When Eugene goes to Class Nine, Bruce Lee isn’t there. Gray asks Eugene what he’s doing at Class Nine and Eugene tells him about the borrowed textbook. Gray informs Eugene that he’s going to go to the academic conference at Gwanak University tomorrow as the school representative.

The next day, Minsu bullies Eugene by slapping his hands onto his glasses and getting his fingerprints all over the lenses. He staples Eugene’s shirt to his pants and causes it to tear. Eugene asks why he’s doing it, but Minsu claims he’s only playing around. As they walk away, Minsu’s friend asks what if Eugene tells Gray. Minsu doesn’t believe that Eugene is really a part of Ben’s gang and that he’s probably just their slave. He points out how Eugene was the lowest of the low back in Daehyeon Middle School, and says that losers need to know their place. He claims that he already got Gray on his side during music class and that he is going to use his charm to join Ben’s group, which is why he’s trying to get closer to Gray.
