Weak Hero Wiki

Chapter 162 is the one hundred sixty second chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 35th chapter of the third season.

Synopsis[]

Gray, Alex, and Ben are sitting outside on some benches. Alex’s arm is healed now. One of Gray’s classmates informs him that his homeroom teacher wants to see him. Gray leaves and goes to the teachers’ room. Alex is surprised that Eunjang cares enough to check up on the students, but Ben comments that Gray’s a celebrity among the teachers. Ben knows that Alex is pretending to be all better and can’t help but be worried.

Gray’s homeroom teacher says he doesn’t like the type of admissions that are heavily influenced by parents’ income level and insider information. He tells Gray to not limit himself to regular admission, and to try comprehensive admission or early admission. He also suggests doing volunteer hours.

Gray remembers a popular volunteer spot that always fills up early and is close to Hero Cram School. The teacher says Gray will do fine on his own but to touch base from time to time to get his cover letter and record ready. Gray thanks him and the teacher says he’s already submitted Gray’s application, and to go to Yeouido Hospital whenever he has time to sign the form and get a schedule. Gray says he’ll stop by on the way to cram school.

The teacher can’t believe he’s consulting a student for university at Eunjang and thinks it will go down in history. It’s what he dreamed of as the ideal image of an educator. Teachers at other schools have absolute authority over their students by threatening with scores they give out on student records, but most kids from Eunjang don’t care about university.

Gray leaves the teachers’ room and recalls that Ben carried him all the way back to Yeouido even though there was a hospital back at Noryangjin. He thinks Ben was probably so out of it that he could only remember the hospital he had been admitted to in the past.

At Mapo Office Building, Jaeryeong and the Action Squad are standing in front of Cheongang’s top dogs with their heads hanging down in shame. Changhui, the current leader of Cheongang, asks Jaeryeong if the job isn’t the right fit for him and reminds him that he must be aware of what Cheongang looks like when the Action Squad gets beaten to a pulp by little kids.

Jaeryeong apologizes and Changhui throws his glass at him, shattering it against the wall behind Jaeryeong. Changhui tells him that he shouldn't do something he’ll be sorry for in the first place. He reminds Jaeryeong that he told him not to mess with Mr. Jo. He asks if it was the bastards from Yeongdeungpo, perking the interest of Giju, who is Cheongang's Number Three.

Jaeryeong says that the Action Squad let their guards down and that they were better than their expectations, but Doyun, Cheongang's Number Four, slaps him and repeats Changhui’s question. Jaeryeong answers that they are from Yeongdeungpo, and that they wanted to take back the contract Mr. Jo had ripped off of another CEO to hijack the building material supply bid.

Juwon, Cheongang's Number Two, confirms that Jaeryeong is right about Magyeong Construction and Mr. Jo, who is known for using shallow tricks to win over exclusive rights. Changhui says although it’s tricky to determine who’s at fault, since Cheongang took a hit, they can’t let it slide. If they keep quiet in a situation like that, they’ll lose face and their reputation on the street is over.

He says that they should’ve attacked the Union when they first took down Manwol because now their arrogance knows no bounds. Changhui orders all executives to gather at the Octagon—the building where the founding executives of Cheongang gathered to determine important affairs but is now an abandoned building—early next week.

Giju catches up to Jaeryeong as he is leaving and tells him to not feel bad about how he was treated earlier. Jaeryeong says he has no hard feelings because he is the one at blame to begin with. Giju shows Jaeryeong a photo of Wolf and asks if he was among the scums that he fought. Jaeryeong confirms that he was, and Giju says he’s interested in him personally.

Doyun tells Giju that Juwon wants to see him. Giju dismisses Jaeryeong, and the latter bows to both Giju and Doyun and leaves. Giju thinks he and Wolf are destined to clash, and he’s now hyped that he’ll get to meet the neighborhood celebrity.
