Chapter 142

Chapter 142 is the one hundred forty second chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 15th chapter of the third season.

It is the seventh part of Gerard Jin's Backstory.

Synopsis[]

Gerard defeats the two Manwol guys and Jeongmu. He demands to know why Jeongmu keeps on bothering him. Jeongmu says that because of Gerard, he was so humiliated that he had to drop out of school, and that it’s now Gerard’s turn to lose everything that matters to him. He tells Gerard to go check out Dorim Shopping Complex. Earlier, Jeongmu had set the place on fire with several propane tanks.

The Manwol guys wonders what Jeongmu is talking about, and asks Gerard if he’s the right-hand man of Donald Na of the Union. Gerard has no idea what the guy is talking about and leaves. The Manwol guys both realize that Jeongmu had tricked them into fighting his battle for him so he wouldn’t get his hands dirty. They decide not to report it to Changyeon and beat up Jeongmu.

A flashback shows that the director and manager of Sinma had witnessed Jeongmu going to set Slam’s practice room on fire, and the manager suggests calling the police. Shin tells him that Slam has nothing to do with them now, and it’s better to let them burn to the ground. He tells him to pretend they didn’t hear them and the manager agrees. The director is pissed that they didn’t get any money from them canceling the contract. The flashback ends.

Gerard runs into Dorim Shopping Complex. Hyeonjin’s magical melodies and beats ring in Gerard’s ears. His body moves before he can even think. The fire didn’t spread to the cabinet yet, and he retrieves the music sheets and hard drive. As he tries to leave, the propane tanks explode.
