Chapter 125

Chapter 125 is the one hundredth twenty fifth chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 65th chapter of the second season.

Synopsis[]

Ben accepts the fact that he and Jake are different and decides to use it to his advantage. He is just going to take the bull by the horns. There is no reason to complicate things and all he has to do is beat the crap out of Jake until he wins. Jake wonders why Ben hasn’t learned his lesson yet and decides to give him a humiliating defeat.

The fight continues. Ben pretends to throw a punch but swings right back to elbow Jake in the face. Jake continues to punch Ben in the face, but Ben knees Jake in the stomach. Ben’s senses grow sharper and his instincts go into overdrive. He has an idea of how to win. Ben delivers a very heavy blow that sends Jake crashing to the ground, but to Ben’s shock, Jake gets back up. Jake says it’s not everyday that they have a chance to fight like this, so he wants to fight to the finish.

Timothy doesn’t know who is going to win anymore. While watching the never-ending fight between Ben and Jake, Gray realizes the victor is like the final droplet wrung out of a towel with every last bit of energy. Only the last to survive will win. Gray’s insight is pretty accurate. Deep down, Ben and Jake also think the same way. Whoever runs out of energy first will lose the match. It may seem like a simple fist fight at first, but at some point it becomes an endurance competition.

Ben keeps on thinking of continuously taking one more step ahead of Jake. The fight seems like it will go on forever, but Ben has the slight upper hand which came from the near-death experience of fighting Donald. Ben replays that fight hundreds of times in his head, so this fight might feel like before but he is a different person now. It is the subtle growth that makes the difference.

Jake can barely see now and his vision is blurry. He wonders if Ben ever gets tired. Jake recalls his older brother, Kenny, teaching him about toxic masculinity. Kenny had told him, “Men walk alone. Don’t rely on anyone. Be strong. The only person you can depend on is yourself.”

Jake finally falls and stays down. Ben is victorious. Naksung sneaks up behind Ben and knocks him out by hitting the back of his head with a wooden beam. Alex angrily charges at Naksung.
