Chapter 124

Chapter 124 is the one hundredth twenty fourth chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 64th chapter of the second season.

Synopsis[]

A flashback shows a bunch of guys had picked a fight with Jake but after Jake hits them a bit, they all lose their will to fight. He is disappointed by them. In the present day, Jake wants Ben to show that he’s different from them and will not give up midway.

Ben thinks he has to get over the traumatic memory of his defeat at Donald’s hands. He throws a heavy punch and sends Jake flying. Jake uses his hand to steady himself on the ground to land a kick while falling. Jake continues to deliver multiple heavy blows.

Alex is conflicted. He doesn’t know if he should respect Ben’s wish and watch him struggle on his own, or if he should go against his word and help him. Daehyeon thinks they already know that the fight is going to end with Jake’s win. Naksung is impressed that Ben is still standing after suffering several blows.

Jake tells Ben that at that point, people either collapse on the ground and pass out, or they chicken out and stiffen up. He says Ben is doing neither, but he still expects a lot more from him. Gray knows Ben fights with confidence that stems from his exceptional stamina, while Jake fights efficiently using very little energy. The longer the fight stretches on, the more Ben is at a disadvantage due to tiring himself out too quickly. The gang still believes in Ben.

Jake starts attacking using his shoulders. Ben feels a range of emotions at the same time. He wonders who the hell Jake is because every move he makes is out of the ordinary. Before the fight, he was angry, and while fighting, he became frustrated and afraid; but right now, he doesn’t feel anything. He is just entirely focused on this very moment.

He admits that Jake is a skillful fighter and thinks he’s completely immersed in the fight because he’s up against Jake. Everything becomes much clearer and from that point on, Ben is going to stop fighting with his emotions. The only thing he is going to focus on is winning.
