Chapter 102

Chapter 102 is the one hundredth second chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 42nd chapter of the second season.

Synopsis[]

Jake is at a field and watching his older brother practice soccer. Kenny kicks the ball and it hits the goal post. Jake jokes that Kenny's skills are getting rusty, but Kenny claims to have purposely aimed for the goal post. He says that's what he decided to do and Jake should do the same, and Jake replies he always listens to him.

At Daehyeon Middle School, Jake discusses Two Piece with Dean. As they leave the classroom, Eugene and his deskmate comment how peaceful school is after Jake took over. The deskmate wonders if Jake will join the Union but Eugene says Jake isn't like that. Timothy overhears and thinks they're clueless because Jake would never join the Union and will follow Kenny instead.

At the gazebo, Kingsley approaches Jake and tells him Donald wants to talk. He says to move to a different location, but Jake refuses and tells him that Donald should come to him if he wants to talk. When Kingsley asks if Jake can handle the consequences, Jake threatens him. Donald steps in and introduces himself to Jake and Dean.

One night, Kenny is at a Manwol assembly. A flashback shows that Manwol wanted to recruit Jake due to the rising Union, but Kenny refused. Kenny wants to leave the gang life so Changyeon says they'll go by the rules. Kenny is restrained and his leg is held out and Changyeon smashes a wooden beam down onto his shin. Kenny screams in pain. Manwol beats him up.

At Malkeun Hospital, Jake is shocked, horrified, and enraged by his brother's condition. The doctor says Kenny won't be able to continue soccer and even after he is able to walk again, it'll be dangerous for him to run. His leg is in a very serious condition and he may need another operation.

Jake leaves and when Dean asks where he's going, Jake claims to be getting some coffee. Dean doesn't believe him and says he knows Jake is going to confront Changyeon Lee and Manwol. If Jake goes, he'll go. Kenny is like a big brother to him too, so if Jake fights to the death, so will he. Jake thinks it's too dangerous to drag Dean into the mess and remembers Donald's offer.
